DAZZLE ALL YEAR ROUND WITH DERMAL FILLERS

We are delighted to offer the latest non-surgical anti-aging innovations in Carshalton including dazzling dermal fillers. If you’re eager to roll back
the years and enjoy a brighter, smoother complexion, what are you waiting for?

DERMAL FILLERS

(£25.00)

Dermal fillers are made out of a natural substance called Hyaluronic acid which is a natural sugar molecule that is eventually absorbed by the body and naturally broken down. As we age, we lose Hyaluronic Acid causing the skin to become loose, thin, and dehydrated leading to folds and wrinkles. Soft tissue fillers (Hyaluronic acid) are injected into the skin to help replace volume loss, fill in facial wrinkles and restore a more youthful appearance. Dermal fillers are also commonly used for shaping and contouring the face, sculpting cheeks, and adding definition to the chin and jawline. Dermal Fillers are temporary and can be expected to last between 6 and 12 months depending on the area treated, lifestyle factors, and product selection.

LIP
ENHANCEMENT

(1ml £99.00)

One of our most popular non-surgical treatments is lip enhancement with dermal fillers (hyaluronic acid). Lip fillers can help to enhance the lips, giving them a fuller, more defined lip shape.
Lip Enhancement Benefits

  • Add extra volume and definition in the lip area
  • Enhance the natural shape and plumpness
  • Reduce smoker’s lines & wrinkles around the mouth
  • See immediate results

ANTI-WRINKLE INJECTIONS

Anti-wrinkle injections are a quick and effective nonsurgical way to tackle the signs of aging. As we age, our skin begins to lose its elasticity. This causes fine lines to set into the skin, due to repeated movements and natural sagging. Anti-wrinkle treatments can help reduce the appearance of wrinkles including lines along the forehead and the outer corners of the eyes.

We Create Beautifully Bespoke Medical Aesthetics:

Anti-ageing Treatment Benefits

  • Smoothen and reduce the appearance of existing wrinkles
  • Prevent the formation of new lines
  • Natural-looking results

MICRO-NEEDLING

(£49.00)

Microneedling is mostly used on the face to treat scars, wrinkles, and enlarged pores. Increased production of natural fibres within the skin helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles and reveals smoother, firmer, more toned skin.

PROFHILO

(£220.00)

Profhilo treatment is a new skin injectable that improves skin integrity, structure and form. It won the most innovative new treatment award at the aesthetic awards 2016. Profhilo has the highest concentration of hyaluronic acid on the market (64mg/2ml). Once injected it starts spreading immediately due to its high HA concentration and cohesive nature.

It lasts around 28 days in the skin and stimulates 4 different types of collagen and elastin as well as marked tissue improvement; improving skin integrity and tightening/lifting as well as being internally deeply hydrating. Unlike other “fillers” it doesn’t sit under the skin and bulk; but spreads to where it is needed, giving a real rejuvenating effect. It is thermally cross-linked so does not contain any BDE and along with all the above treatments is very well accepted with no inflammatory risks.

PRP VAMPIRE FACIAL

(£110.00)

Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy, as seen on The Kardashians, uses the body’s own natural healing powers to slow and even reverse the aging process. Platelets harvested from the patients’ own blood are injected into problem skin areas, placing growth factors in the exact location where we want the skin to repair and rejuvenate itself. The growth factors released by these platelets cause the surrounding cells to proliferate, rejuvenating the skin by stimulating repair and increasing volume.

CHEMICAL PEEL

(£49.00)

Peels are designed to exfoliate your skin and encourage it to renew itself by creating fresh new skin cells. They also stimulate the skin’s natural collagen production to help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Skin peel treatments use acids and enzymes to exfoliate away layers of the skin to reveal fresher, clearer, more youthful-looking skin beneath the surface. The powerful blend of ingredients in skin peels works to reduce the appearance of open pores, remove dead skin cells, target blemishes, acne and pigmentation, and visibly smooth fine lines and wrinkles. The procedure is used all over the world to treat skin conditions such as fine lines and wrinkles, acne, hyper-pigmentation, and sun damage – the results can be life-transforming.

CHEEK
ENHANCEMENT

(1ml £99.00)

Lift and rejuvenate your cheeks, all without the need for surgical operations. Over time our cheeks / can flatten and our natural high point can start to appear lower. Loss of this youthful plumpness in your cheeks can be quite aging. Especially for those who succeed in losing weight or are naturally slim. At DUA Beauty Lounge we use facial dermal fillers to improve the appearance of your cheeks and combat saggy, aged-looking skin.

MARIONETTE
LINES

(1ml £99.00)

Marionette lines are wrinkles that extend from each corner of your mouth down your chin. Marionette lines can cause your mouth to look downturned, giving you an unhappy appearance. During the ageing process, the fat pads in our upper face gradually diminish, while the fat pads in our lower face become fuller. This causes our skin to sag downwards and develop folds, such as marionette lines. Fillers are very effective at dealing with deep wrinkles such as marionette lines. They gently plump out the wrinkles, resulting in a smoother appearance.

SMOKERS LINES

(1ml £99.00)

Despite the name, these vertical lip lines are not always caused by smoking, but can also be due to repetitive lip pursing and movement. They are often more visible when lipstick “bleeds” into these lines. Filler into these wrinkles can help reduce their appearance. Filler can also be combined with botox to help maximize reduction. Lip lines appear as indentations/creases (particularly on the upper lip), which can make you look older than you actually are. Dermal filler restores volume to these “smoker’s lines” to help flatten them out, reducing the shadows that make these lip lines more noticeable.

JAW

(1ml £99.00)

The application of dermal fillers is used to effectively sculpt and reshape the jaw, creating balance and symmetry to frame the face. Jawline filler results are immediately visible. Using dermal fillers to shape, define, and enhance the lower facial contours also has the added benefit of decreasing the appearance of loose skin and the appearance of a double chin (especially when combined with a chin sculpting procedure). For women, depending on their desired facial shape, jawline fillers can achieve an angle that can range from soft to dramatic.

CHIN

(1ml £99.00)

The aim of non-surgical chin augmentation is to make the chin stronger and more harmonious with the help of high-quality hyaluronic acid. By injecting the chin area with fillers, the volume is enhanced and the proportions of the face profile are improved. Chin filler treatment can also have an anti-aging effect, tightening the skin around the mouth and neck, and smoothening lines. For an overall harmoniously defined lower facial area, the combination of chin filler and jawline filler is ideal.

PRP HAIR RESTORATION

(£150.00)

PRP (platelet-rich plasma) for hair loss is a treatment involving taking a small quantity of blood from a patient, separating out the growth factors and bioactive proteins in the blood (which initiate and speed up tissue repair and regeneration) and injecting this platelet-rich plasma into the scalp, to encourage hair growth.

(£65.00)

Our BB Glow treatment provides immediate coverage and long-lasting beauty without overstimulating the skin. The results are visible wrinkle improvement, even skin tone, and a beautiful glow. DERMAL FILLERS FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

A topical numbing cream will be applied for up to 10 minutes prior to your treatment to maximise comfort. Most dermal fillers used at the clinic contain Lidocaine (numbing agent) that will ease any discomfort also. Try to arrive at your filler app 10 minutes early to allow sufficient numbing time.

We also make sure we have cannulas available for all treatments. This technique is proven to cause less discomfort and less bruising. You are welcome to request a cannula if you prefer. We, however, do not use these for the lips.

It depends on what filler you opt for, some fillers last longer than others. Other factors that affect longevity are your metabolism, lifestyle, skin type etc. Please be patient as it may take frequent top-ups over the first year or so to get your desired result.

Please remember we can only enhance your natural features. It is not possible to completely change them and nor would we want to. We are all unique and any treatment should be looked at as an improvement rather than a cure.

It is not always possible to create the desired look if your facial anatomy and genetics do not allow. Please remember our faces are not symmetrical and sometimes no amount of filler can correct this and sometimes it can make it look worse. Your practitioner will advise you accordingly during the consultation prior to your treatment.

Yes, fillers can be dissolved with a product called Hyaluronidase.

  • Avoid planning any work or social events 2-7 days after treatment in case of swelling and bruising.
  • Medicines to possibly discontinue 7 days before your treatment. Please check with your doctor first if you are taking medicines for medical reasons. Some medicines make your blood thinner (less likely to clot) and cause bruising e.g. Excedrin, Ibuprofen, St John's Wort, Omega 3 fatty acids, Vitamin E, Paracetamol, Ginseng and Alcohol.
  • Try eating pineapple 2-3 times prior to your treatment (pineapple is a natural anti-inflammatory).
  • Take Arnica tablets 2-3 days prior to treatment (not if you have high blood pressure).
  • If you are prone to cold sores, and this is the area you are having treated, get your GP to prescribe Zovirax tablets or ask about other tablets/creams to prevent cold sores prior to your treatment.

After treatment

Most clients do not experience any problems following facial filler treatments. Overall it is an extremely safe treatment with a high level of satisfaction. The most common problem is not having realistic expectations from the treatment. 0.5ml of filler in the lips will be extremely subtle with most clients finding it shows little difference. You may need 1ml for the desired effect.

Filler does not always last as long as desired or give the same effect from person to person, one person may find it lasts 18 months, whilst another only a very short amount of time. This is also the same as the amount of filler needed, some clients may notice a huge difference with 1ml, whereas others only notice a subtle change. If you do not get the results you want, please don’t be disappointed, often the answer is more filler or possibly a thicker filler. This is not a problem, as extra filler can be added as soon as the swelling subsides.

Lip fillers can sometimes be used to correct uneven lips. If you have uneven lips, more than one treatment may be needed to completely correct lip size and symmetry.

General aftercare

  • Some common injection-related reactions may occur, such as swelling, bruising, redness, tenderness, itching and discolouration at the injection site. The intensity and duration of your filler side effects will depend on individual healing characteristics, but can normally last for 1 to 2 weeks after treatment.
  • Remember, it can take 1-14 days for the results of cosmetic treatments to fully ‘settle in’. You should expect to be swollen for 7-14 days. You will need to wait until the healing time is finished before you can see the full result, size and shape of your fillers.
  • Sometimes swelling can make the lips appear uneven. If this happens please be patient and as the swelling goes down the lips appear even again.
  • Try to avoid alcohol 24 hours after treatment as alcohol can cause bruising.
  • Avoid excessive sun or heat until any initial swelling and redness have subsided (avoid sun-beds for 1 week).
  • Avoid squeezing and massaging the area for at least 24 hours as this could subtly change the results.
  • Do to take any Aspirin or Ibuprofen for 2 days after your treatment.
  • If you have swelling, apply a cold compress to the area for the first 2 days.
  • Most lumps and bumps in the first week are just fluid or some bruising at the injection site and will disappear quickly. If you feel lumpy spots after the first 48 hours, push on the spot with continual pressure for 1 minute. Repeat 5 times a day. This is called ‘massage’ and helps resolve bruising, swelling and lumps.
  • To keep fillers soft, begin to massage them 2 days after treatment, once a day for 2 weeks.
  • If you have excessive swelling in the first 24-48 hours, you can minimise this with Antihistamine tablets such as Benadryl.
